Diamond T 4-H Club of Thida places in competition

Natasha Hightower, 14, representing the Diamond T 4-H Club of Thida recently won the senior division state broiler barbecue competition. She was recognized at the Sept. 11 Independence County Quorum Court meeting. Hightower was also presented with donations from Ozark Mountain Poultry ($1,000), Peco Foods ($500) and Batesville Poultry Equipment ($500). County Judge Robert Griffin and his sister, Anne Moore, each donated $100. The money is will help fund Hightower’s trip to Louisville, Ky., to compete in the national competition in November.
