Little Rock man lands in Independence County Jail after traffic stop

A Little Rock man who was a passenger in a vehicle stopped on a traffic violation Wednesday, Nov. 29, ended up in the Independence County Jail.

Independence County Sheriff’s Department information says Larry Don Ervin, 34, of Little Rock, was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.  He was also charged with interfering with governmental operations when he at first gave officers a fictitious name.

His ID was found, and it showed his name was not “William,” as he initially disclosed, according to authorities, but Larry D. Ervin, an absconder from parole and probation.

In addition to obstructing governmental operations, Ervin was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, which is a felony.
