Repeat offender charged with drug violations in Independence County Circuit Court

Another repeat offender has been charged in Independence County Circuit Court with drug violations.

The court information notes Pat Huston Lambert III, 22, has previously been convicted of more than two but less than four felonies, and a result is being charged under the Habitual Offender Act, which, if convicted, could lead to an extended term of imprisonment.

Lambert is charged with possession of a controlled substance, namely marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia to pack or conceal the controlled substance.

The charges, according to court documents, stem from Friday, Jan. 12, when parole officer Brian Gould discovered a large amount of marijuana and one set of digital scales inside Lambert’s hotel room.

Gould turned over to Byler two large bags of marijuana and the scales to weigh the drug.  Byler placed Lambert under arrest and charged him with the two drug-related felonies.

Lambert’s bond has been set at $20,000.
