Stone County couple face multiple drug-related charges

While searching for their son, wanted on felony criminal charges, a Mountain View couple, Richard Eugene Brenton, 62, and Helen Louise Brenton, 60, were found to be maintaining a drug premises. As a result, the couple has been charged with eight drug- related felonies and for drug-related class “A” Misdemeanors.

The information is contained in the court records filed by prosecutors.  Both Helen and Richard Brenton charges include: maintaining a drug premises, a felony; manufacturing a controlled substance, a felony; possession of a controlled substance, a felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia, five counts, a felony.

The court documents went on to say that the Brenton residence was 239 feet from the Mountain View ballpark complex, which is well within the 1000-ft. limit for maintaining a drug premises.

The bond on each has been set at $50,000.
