Stone County man charged in case involving ex-girlfriend

A Stone County man has been charged with five felonies and three class “A” misdemeanors in a case involving his ex-girlfriend.

Court documents note Mountain View police were called to North Grover Street three times by Ashley Lancaster last weekend involving the actions of Richard E. Brenton, Jr., 37.

From those incidents, Brenton, Jr. has been charged with intimidating a witness, a felony; breaking or entering, a felony; terroristic threatening, a felony; first-degree criminal mischief, a felony; stalking second-degree, a felony; criminal mischief, a class “A” misdemeanor; harassing communications, a class “A” misdemeanor; and criminal trespass, a class “A” misdemeanor.

Brenton Jr. is also being charged under the Habitual Offender Act having been convicted or one or more previous felonies.

His bond has been set at $50,000.
