EAST (Environmental and Spatial Technology, Inc.) students from 13 area high schools will gather at the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville (UACCB) in March for a recognition event.

UACCB is inviting EAST students, their sponsors, families, friends and their communities to participate in this seventh annual event. It is set for Wednesday, March 7 at 10 a.m. in Independence Hall on the UACCB campus.

“The students from all thirteen schools will present the same material they will be presenting at the EAST conference in Hot Springs this March or observing the other schools as they present,” said Dr. Tamara Griffin, division chair of business, technology and public service for UACCB.

“We know how important their contributions are to this region of Arkansas, and we would like to acknowledge these students.”

Griffin said the 13 schools invited are Batesville, Calico Rock, Cave City, Cedar Ridge, Izard County Consolidated, Highland, Hillcrest, Mammoth Spring, Midland, Mountain View, Newport, Southside, and Viola.
