Eagle Mountain Magnet Elementary students and teachers Kristi Gillihan, Susan Parker, and Sonja Skelton, visited White River Medical Center (WRMC) this morning. The students learned about heart health in the WRMC Cardiac Pulmonary Rehabilitation Department. Batesville Police and Fire Departments, Survival Flight, and Vital Link partnered with WRMC’s Emergency Department to teach students how to call for help and about local emergency response. The students earned the adventure by being the top fundraisers in the American Heart Association’s Jump Rope for Heart event. Amy Strickland’s class earned a tour of the WRMC Emergency Department as the top fundraiser. Eagle Mountain Students donated more than $8,600 for the American Heart Association
