Gasoline prices continue to rise from $2.11 a gallon in late November of last year to a national average of $2.99 today. In Arkansas, the price for a gallon of regular unleaded ranges from $2.27 a gallon at McGehee to $3.09 a gallon at Gillett in Pocahontas.
In the immediate area, the lowest price we found was $2.65 a gallon at the Exxon and E-Z Mart, both in Newark.
There are several local outlets selling at $2.67 and $2.69 a gallon.
