The department of radiology at White River Medical Center (WRMC) in Batesville has a new director, according to Gary Paxson, administrator of WRMC.
Gary Paxson, administrator of White River Medical Center (WRMC), is proud to announce the appointment of Andy Nicholson as Director of Radiology at WRMC in Batesville.
As director, Nicholson is responsible for overseeing operations of the radiology department, including clinical quality and documentation, staffing, scheduling, and patient and physician satisfaction.
“I am grateful for the many wonderful mentors that motivated me to advance my career,” said Nicholson. “I am focused on creating a wonderful work environment where patients choose to receive high-quality healthcare.”
Nicholson has a Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Imaging Sciences from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences in Little Rock. He has received multiple awards for excellence in patient satisfaction.
“Andy has held many leadership positions in a hospital setting,” said Paxson. “His experience will be a great benefit in his role as radiology director.”
Before accepting his role as radiology director, Nicholson served as the assistant director of radiology at WRMC for a year.
Nicholson serves on several committees within White River Health System, including the Culture of Safety Committee, FireStarter Planning Committee, Environment of Care Committee, and Termination Appeal Committee.
Nicholson and his wife, Teri, have two children: Hallie, age 4; and Weston, age 3.
