newsbackground-1-17

Two Independence County women and two Sharp County men were charged with two drug felonies each after a home visit by parole and probation officers.

The home visit was in the 4000 block of St. Louis Street in Independence County, the listed address of one of the arrested females, 42-year-old Deanna M. Swaim.

Others at the address were 58-year-old Michelle M. Brooks, 36-year-old Robert David Woodall, Junior, and 35-year-old William Lee Woodall.

When methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were found at the residence in a basement area where all four were congregated, all were arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, namely methamphetamine, and possession with the purpose to use drug paraphernalia to introduce methamphetamine into the body, according to authorities.

Swaim and Woodall Junior are also being charged under the habitual offender law. Each has two or more previous felony convictions.

Swaim was released on her own recognizance. William Lee Woodall and Robert David Woodall, Junior, were placed on bonds of $7,500 each, and Michelle M. Brooks was put on a $10,000 bond.

All but Swaim are still in custody until they meet bail or their court date arrives.
