Batesville Torpedoes swim team coach reports on an ‘outstanding’ performance at recent Pocahontas meet

Batesville Torpedoes Swim Team Coach Alfredo Aleman reports to White River Now that the team a great time at Saturday’s Pocahontas Invitational Meet.

“Our swimmers’ performance was outstanding, the coaching staff is very pleased and look forward to an awesome season,” Coach Aleman told White River Now.

Torpedoes team member Sam Smith set a new pool record in the boys 9-10 age group in the 50 Short Course Meters Backstroke with a time of 43.60. Other participating Torpedoes included Jack Allen, Nathan A. Hernandez, Alice A. Knott, Sam P. Knott, Anthony J. Sonnier, Tristan W. Wells, and Joseph J. Wells.
