Palmieri Achieves Board Certification in Medical Practice Management

Judy Palmieri, White River Health System (WRHS) Clinic Division Executive Director of Finance, earned the professional designation of Certified Medical Practice Executive (CMPE) by the American College of Medical Practice Executives, the certification entity of the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).

The American College of Medical Practice Executives (ACMPE), the certification entity of the Medical Management Association (MGMA), administers the certification examination. To achieve CMPE certification, professionals must demonstrate knowledge of all aspects of medical practice management.  These include business operations, financial, human resource and financial management, organizational governance, patient care systems, and quality and risk management. The certification requires a minimum of 50 hours of continued education every three years.

We use MGMA standards to improve services and create meaningful change in healthcare to improve the health of the patients we serve.”

Today, MGMA membership includes more than 6,600 professionals who have attained CMPE or ACMPE Fellow status, or who seek certification.

Palmieri earned Associate of Science in Medical Laboratory Science from Arkansas State University in Jonesboro.  She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Walden University.  In 2005, she joined White River Medical Center as Reference Laboratory Director.  In 2006, she became a Clinic Director for the system.

Palmieri is involved in committees and boards at WRHS such as Executive Provider Committee, OP/Medical Group, Physician Quality Board, and Steering Committee.
