A Stone County couple has been charged in Stone County Circuit Court with the battery of another woman. 21-year-old Kassandra Kisor and 39-year-old Philip Travis Baughare are accused of assaulting another woman and beating her to the point that she lost consciousness.

The victim was waiting for a friend outside a residence on Misenheimer Road when the couple drove up, according to court documents. Baugh got out and got into a verbal confrontation with the victim which quickly turned physical with Baugh accused of beating the victim and taking two prescriptions drugs from her purse — Valium and Xanax — and then emptying the rest of the purse’s contents on the ground.  Baugh then got into the car and sped off. The court information says Kisor was driving the vehicle in which Baugh came and left.

Both are charged with second-degree battery, a felony.

Baugh is also being charged as a habitual offender, having been convicted of three previous felonies.  Bonds have been set at $15,000 each.
