Authorities are investigating a shooting in the Sulphur Rock area that injured at least one man. The shooting occurred Monday night (July 16). Authorities were summoned to the area by a 911 call from a woman who was whispering because she was hiding from the shooter.
Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens and his deputies along with assistance from the Batesville Police Department spent the night looking for the shooter and some others.
