Woman in custody after breaking into Dennison Heights residence

A 22-year-old female is in the Independence County Jail and awaiting a court date after being charged with residential burglary and four theft counts.

The suspect, Madison Catherine Coles, was caught at the residence by Sheriff Shawn Stephens who was in the area when the call came in to dispatch.

The court information says on July 18, Coles entered the residence at 740 Dennison Heights and took three of the occupants’ credit cards. No one was home at the time. She told authorities she had permission to be there to pick up her belongings. The occupants of the residence said no one had permission to be in the house.

Coles is in custody and charged with:  residential burglary, three counts of felony theft and one count of misdemeanor theft.

Her bond was set at $7,500.
