Main Street Batesville will be hosting a movie in downtown’s Pocket Park, tomorrow, Oct. 12. The presenting sponsor is Suddenlink by Altice.

Food vendors and games will be set up at 6 p.m., and the movie Hocus Pocus will begin at 7 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to arrive in plenty of time to park and to visit the vendors. Food vendors include Elizabeth’s Restaurant, 109 Main, Sweetie Cakes, Melba Theater, and Big’s. There will also be a kiddie area with a petting zoo, cake walk, and face paintings. Various games will be held in the street with cash prizes.

“We’re going to have straw bales and blankets available for what is shaping up to be the perfect autumn night out,” said Mandi Curtwright, executive director for Main Street Batesville.

Lawn chairs are also encouraged.

“We want the evening to be enjoyed by everyone so there will be some seating suggestions,” said Curtwright. “The front part of the park will be situated for those who do not bring their own chairs or have blankets only. The middle and towards the back will be the place for those in lawn chairs to enjoy the movie.”

Parking will be available behind the Independence County Library and in the parking lot across from Sleep Star Lite on Broad Street. The road from 4th Street to 3rd Street down Main Street will be blocked off starting at 5 p.m.

Admission is free. For questions, email mainstreetbatesville@gmail.com.
