The Southside Schools Choir Department is again preparing for its big holiday event. The 24th annual Ye Olde Christmasse Madrigal Feaste, a reenactment of a 15th-century royal banquet, will be held Friday, Dec. 7, and Saturday, Dec. 8, beginning at 6:30 p.m. each evening at the Southside Middle School Cafetorium.
Guests will be entertained by jugglers, magic, stories, and a wandering jester while enjoying a five-course meal prepared by the cafeteria staff. The menu will include a wassail bowl, French onion soup, green bean bundles, twice-baked potatoes, fresh warm wheat loaves, beef tenderloin, and a “flaming” dessert. After dinner, a short concert of songs will be performed to celebrate the season.
Tickets must be purchased in advance and can be obtained by calling the Southside School Administration Building at (870) 251-2341 or by calling (870) 612-2846. Tickets will also be available for online purchase by checking the Southside Schools website at southsideschools.org. Tickets are $22.
