LaMarcus DeShawn Hardy, 31, of Batesville is wanted for failing to report within ten days after release from incarceration.

Per a report from the Independence County Sheriff’s Department, on Dec. 14, Det. Michael Moody was made aware that Hardy had failed to report to law enforcement as required in this registered sex offender status.

Hardy was incarcerated in the Independence County Jail on Nov. 19 and released ten days later on Nov. 29.

Registered sex offenders are required to report to local law enforcement upon release from incarceration to update their information in the offender registration file. Failure to do so is a Class C felony.

Moody has requested a warrant for Hardy’s arrest and requested for Hardy to be charged at a habitual offender due to his history of felony convictions.
