A Sulphur Rock man was found to be in possession of a controlled substance during a recent traffic stop.
Deputy Jordan Turner of the Independence County Sheriff’s Department found the methamphetamine on the ground beside the driver’s door. The official report states the man, Todd Wayne Bales, 54, was a parolee, and was wanted on a warrant out of Florida. He was taken into custody.
Deputy Turner charged Bales with felony possession of a controlled substance and two traffic misdemeanors.
