3 injured, 1 dead following Wednesday evening shooting in Jonesboro

Jonesboro Police were called to 3516 Galaxy the evening of January 2 because of a shooting.  Once on scene officers found four people injured, officers rendered aid and prepared for the victims to be transported to local hospitals.

The three injured parties are Quenterius Finch, 23, of Jonesboro; Cedric Finch, 28, of Jonesboro and Chauncey Thomas, 21, of Jonesboro. The three injured parties are currently receiving hospital care.

The shooting resulted in one death. Malcom Jemison, 16, of Jonesboro was fatally wounded during the incident.

According to a release from JPD, two unknown suspects entered the residence and began shooting causing injuries three parties, killing one.

Detectives are still investigating. More information will be released as it becomes available.

This is Jonesboro’s second fatal shooting of 2019.
