One-time Batesville businessman “Buck” Faulkner passes

W.H. “Buck” Faulkner, a one-time Batesville businessman before his retirement, died last week.

In the 1950s and 60s, Faulkner and his family operated the Pepsi-Cola Bottling Company on Lawrence Street in Batesville, before moving with Pepsi to Jonesboro.

Faulkner was born April 13, 1925, at Light, Ark., to Hazel Irene Bryant and Henderson Hall “Pop” Faulkner. He was a World War II veteran and of the Baptist faith.

Visitation will be from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. Saturday at Qualls Batesville Funeral Service with graveside services and burial at 2 p.m. Saturday at Oaklawn Cemetary in Batesville.
