A Tuckerman man driving in the wrong direction on Interstate 555 was killed late last night in a head-on collision.

The accident occurred near the city of Bay in Craighead County.

In his preliminary report, Arkansas State Police Cpl. Anthony Maggitt said the victim, Justin Lee Glasgow, 34, was driving his 2009 Dodge northbound in a southbound lane on I-555 when he collided head-on with a Volvo semi truck.

Glasgow was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the semi, Morris Nunn, 51, of Cordova, Ark., was injured and transported to Saint Bernard Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Maggitt said the roadway was wet at the time of the accident.

Glasgow’s death was the 42nd fatality on Arkansas highways this year.
