Razorback super fan Canaan Sandy has been hospitalized in Batesville after suffering a stroke yesterday afternoon. Sandy, who loves all things Arkansas Razorbacks and is an ESPN Fan Hall of Fame member, was able to be transported to the hospital quickly, according to his mother, Ginger.
Ginger Sandy told media last night a CT scan showed no blood in his brain and that Canaan is already talking and giving hugs.
Around 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Razorback Head Football Coach Chad Morris tweeted: “Praying for my man @CanaanSandy right now. Hog fans everywhere are pulling for you!”
Randy Rainwater, co-host of radio’s Drivetime Sports, tweeted: “Please put him in your prayers!”
And Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson tweeted: “Arkansas loves Canaan Sandy!
