Independence County Chief Deputy Sheriff Aaron Moody tells White River Now that a community service worker who walked off a work detail yesterday has been re-captured this morning.

Moody said the worker, Timothy Church (pictured), was located in central Batesville near the White River. Church was reported to have been part of a work detail near the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville on Highway 25 East.

Misdemeanor violators in good standing are allowed by the district court to work off fines and sentences by doing community service work.  Apparently, Church will lose his “good standing” with the court and face additional charges.
