Hot and humid — that’s been the story regarding the weather in the Batesville-Southside area today. One lone fisherman (pictured) set up shop on the White River sandbar in Batesville around lunchtime and braved the thick heat in hopes of catching a bite.
Expect the weather to continue to deliver temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s through the rest of week, with the Fourth of July forecast calling for a 40 percent chance of showers, humidity at 71 percent, and a high of 91. Expect similar readings for Friday and Saturday.
