After forty-plus years in the racing business, Larry and Cheryl Shaw have announced they have decided “…it was time to switch lanes.”

“Because I don’t like the word ‘retiring,’ I prefer to say that we are switching lanes,” Larry Shaw said in a press release.

Mosley Racing, Inc., headed by Scott and Marlene Mosley, officially took over operation of Larry Shaw Race Cars, effective July 1, 2019. The husband-and-wife duo will be joined by partner Jeff Taylor in leading Shaw Race Cars moving forward, the release noted.

The Shaws will now be taking their extra time to pursue their long-time interests in travel, classic cars, writing their book, their cattle farm, and spending time with family.

“The same employees that have served you in the past will continue to do so,” said Larry Shaw. “Please continue to contact Shaw Race Cars at the same phone number, fax number, email, website, shipping and mailing address.”

Scott and Marlene Mosley look forward to leading Shaw Race Cars into the next era.

“Marlene and I are looking forward to continuing Larry Shaw’s legacy and meeting our racers,” said Scott Mosley. “We hope that Larry and Cheryl enjoy their time in this new lane.”

“While we won’t be leading Larry Shaw Race Cars anymore, we’re still going to spend plenty of time at the track,” said Larry Shaw. “We hope to see lots of our friends in Vegas [Duel in the Desert] and Boone [IMCA Super Nationals] this fall.”
