A Stone County parolee has been caught with illegal drugs.

The Stone County Circuit Court information says Kelly Brandon Moiser, 42, was pulled over July 11 on a traffic violation by Stone County Lt. Dammon McGilton and Deputy Tony Trammell.

Since Moiser was on parole, he had an “active search waiver” which allows officers to search his vehicle. When they did, marijuana, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia were found.

Moiser was taken into custody and charged with three felonies: two counts of being in possession of drug paraphernalia to analyze meth and then to use. The third felony charge was being in possession of meth. Since Moiser has four or more prior felony convictions, he is being charged as a habitual offender.

A high bond was asked because Moiser has a prior failure to appear in court and a history of fleeing police. The court placed Moiser on a $100,000 bond.
