Event scheduled for tomorrow in Benton to focus on missing people in Arkansas

The eighth annual Never Forgotten – Arkansas Takes Action event that raises awareness for missing people will take place tomorrow, July 18, at the Benton Event Center in Benton, Ark.

This event is used as a gathering for families and Arkansas law enforcement to raise awareness and issues surrounding the missing as well as recognize those that are.

It begins at 8:30 a.m. with a free morning session for families followed by a luncheon to recognize the missing. The event will also include all-day training sessions for law enforcement lasting until 3 p.m.

Sessions will cover material that will meet the requirement to fulfill newly mandated missing persons law enforcement training. The training has been approved for 4.5 hours of Continuing Law Enforcement Standards (CLEST) and 4.25 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit.
