Sheriff urges businesses to report any counterfeit bills encountered

If your business has recently taken in a counterfeit $20 bill, Independence County Sheriff Shawn Stephens wants to know. 

Stephens said two businesses in Newark, Town & Country and EZ Mart, have recently encountered at least six bogus bills.

The sheriff said he appreciates any information that can be provided on these “fake” bills.
