A neighbor of a Bethesda man on Parakeet Lane has been arrested and charged with residential burglary and theft of property.

After returning from a vacation, Lucky Lindsey reported to authorities that his residence had been burglarized and several items were stolen, according to court information. The stolen property included a 32-inch television set, a Dell computer monitor, a Dell keyboard, and an Informer Mag 254 set-top box.

During an investigation, it was found that the TV set was pawned at a Batesville pawn shop for $35. Police also ascertained the name of the individual who pawned the television.

Austin Gabriel Barker, 18, was taken into custody and agreed to be interviewed by the detective division. The court record said Barker admitted to taking the merchandise and pawning it.

Barker has been charged with felony residential burglary and misdemeanor theft.

Barker’s bond was set at $2,500.
