A Ford Expedition that was reported as recently stolen in Batesville was found at an Independence County residence on Overlook Terrace.
According to the incident report, Independence County Sheriff’s Deputy Darin Brewer attempted to make contact with someone at the residence and did briefly see a female inside the residence, but she would not answer the door.
The vehicle was towed from the residence, and a hold was placed on it by the Batesville Police Department.
The report noted that there is a female suspect in the case who has an outstanding Independence County warrant for her arrest. The patrol information was sent to the department’s Criminal Investigation Division.
