BACC holds groundbreaking for Cedar Ridge Safe Room

A groundbreaking ceremony was held for Cedar Ridge School District, Friday, Oct. 4. The Cedar Ridge Safe Room is a multi-purpose building that can accommodate approximately 300 people. Dr. Andy Ashley, superintendent of Cedar Ridge School District, has experienced two different tornadoes during school hours in his career and said at the ceremony, “I want to be sure to provide the Cedar Ridge School District and community with a safe place to take shelter during severe storms.”
