Obituary: Camilla Ann Pratt

peacelily

Camilla Ann Pratt of Batesville passed away Saturday, Oct. 19, at the age of 80.

Camilla was born July 18, 1939, to the late Chester R. Pratt and Louise Inez (Marquart) Pratt in Chicago, IL. Camilla was best known for her love, and sense of service and giving to others, as was evident by the active role she took in the Church. Camilla was of the Catholic faith and was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Batesville. Part of the role she played there was making rosaries in her spare time that were no doubt distributed around the world. She also applied one of her favorite hobbies, crocheting, to service in the Church, making blankets that would be distributed at the Alpha Center and MyChoice Clinic in Batesville. She was truly an example of someone who applied her life to serving others and Jesus Christ.

Camilla is preceded in death by her parents, and her son James David Gray (US Navy). Camilla is also preceded in death by 11 of her 12 siblings, survived by her sister Theresa Perkins. Camilla is also survived by her daughter, Judy Blackwell, two grandchildren, Connie Lee Lynch (Patrick) and Mary Jemetta Goodall (Taylor), and two great-grandchildren, Connor Goodall and Carson Lynch.

Arrangements are entrusted to Willis Funeral Service of Batesville. There will be a 9:30 a.m. Rosary, followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Mass, Saturday, Oct. 26, both at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Batesville, AR.
