Authorities took a Stone County woman to jail after finding drug paraphernalia used to manufacture or weigh meth along with drug paraphernalia to use meth during a traffic stop.
In addition, she is charged with possession of a Schedule IV narcotic — Valium. All the charges stemmed from an investigation by Mountain View Police following a traffic stop on Highway 5 near Ridgeview Drive.
All the illegal drug-related items were found in the driver’s purse, according to authorities. The subject driving, and the only passenger in the vehicle, was Lindsay Wilson-Galloway, 42.
The court record said after the investigation and search, Wilson-Galloway told officers she had a friend who was an addict, and she had taken the items from that friend and put them in her purse. In that way, she said, she was taking away the friend’s ability to use narcotics.
The court record went on to say a bodycam and a dashcam both recorded the events that took place during the traffic stop and subsequent arrest. The court document said the traffic stop occurred just before midnight on Oct. 24.
Wilson-Galloway was taken to jail and placed on $15,000 bail.
