Dorothy June Bufford Mitchum, 85, of Thornton, Colorado, entered Heaven’s gates on Nov. 21, 2019. She was born to the late Ernest Reed Marshall and Lizzy Bracy Marshall on June 7th, 1934 in Bethesda, Arkansas.
A loving mother and homemaker, Dorothy was a remarkable cook and pianist. For many years, she played the piano and organ for Pilgrims Rest Baptist Church in Bethesda.
Dorothy was predeceased in death by her loving husbands, Harlan Goad Bufford and Kenneth Johnson Mitchum. Dorothy is survived by her two children, her son, Randall Mac Bufford and his wife, Tammy; her daughter, Janice Bufford Alaniz and her husband, John, and several grand and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service celebrating her life will be held on Monday, December 2nd, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Oaklawn Cemetery, Batesville, Arkansas under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home. Brother Billy Sutton will be officiating.
