Boosters for the Batesville Pioneer Band are holding a “Quarter Auction” benefit for a member suffering from pancreatitis. A quarter auction is where participants bid on items with quarters.
The event will be held tomorrow at Fox Creek BBQ, located at 129 Lawrence St. in Batesville. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the auction begins at 6:30 p.m.
Dustin Kinion (pictured below, left) will soon have surgery for the condition. Kinion, along with Josh Poff (center), director of bands at Batesville Schools, and Amy Pinkston, dropped by the White River Now family of radio stations to discuss the event.
