Mike Blocker, an investigator with the Newton County Sheriff’s Office in Jasper, Ark., said the body of Sherry Lynn Babcock, 51, of Potwin, Kan., was found yesterday morning (Dec. 9) by loggers in Ponca, Ark.

Her body was discovered several hundred yards from where her vehicle was parked.

Babcock had been missing since Nov. 16. Friends and family say their last contact with Babcock was when she was in Searcy for a visit.
