Prosecuting Attorney’s office: 29 felony cases recently pleaded in Independence County Circuit Court

Twenty-nine felony cases were pleaded in Independence County Circuit Court on Jan. 7, many of them included substantial sentences to the Arkansas Department of Corrections (ADC), according to a release today from the 16th Judicial District Prosecuting Attorney’s office.

Among the cases closed are:

Computer Exploitation of a Child

Dylan Wayne Densmore

Dylan Densmore (pictured above) was sentenced to five years in the ADC, followed by a period of five years suspended imposition of sentence.

Densmore, a habitual offender, pled guilty to two counts of computer exploitation of a child, the release said. The Independence County Sheriff’s Department investigated the case and arrested Densmore last March for filming and circulating a video online of a minor female and a minor male having sex.

Possession of Controlled Substances
An Independence County man pleaded guilty to possession and intent to deliver controlled substances, which earned him time in ADC.

Rickie Don Garrison was sentenced in two separate cases netting him a concurrent sentence of 15 years in ADC. Garrison, a habitual offender, pleaded guilty to three felonies, including possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver (2-10 grams), possession of a controlled substance with the intent to use methamphetamine (less than 2 grams), and possession of a Schedule III controlled substance. Garrison was arrested when he was pulled over in two different traffic stops and found to be in possession of methamphetamine. He was on parole at the time.

Failure to Comply with Sex Offender Laws
Daryl Malin, a habitual offender, was sentenced to 15 years suspended imposition of sentence for refusal to cooperate with the assessment process for sex offenders.

10 Years for Habitual Offender

Tracey Medley

Tracey Medley (pictured above) was sentenced to 10 years in the ADC. Medley pleaded as a habitual offender to four felonies, including felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a controlled substance (methamphetamine), possession of a defaced firearm and possession of a controlled substance (Hydrocodone).

Multiple Felony Charges

Preston Pankey

Three cases involved the same defendant, Preston Pankey (pictured above). Pankey pleaded guilty to multiple felony drug-related offenses and was sentenced to 10 years in the ADC.

Pankey, a habitual offender had 15 felony offenses, including multiple charges of possession and delivery of controlled substances, two counts of failure to appear, and three counts of unlawful use of a communication device.

Theft of a Four-Wheeler

Logan C. Raymond, a habitual offender, pleaded guilty and was sentenced to five years in ADC for the theft of a Honda ATV from a home in Newark last spring.

Sexual Assault of a Minor Child

Skiler William Riecks

A case involving the sexual assault of a minor child sent Skiler Riecks (pictured above) to ADC for 20 years.

Riecks pled to one count of sexual assault in the second degree for assaulting a 13-year-old. Reicks was 18 at the time of the offense.

Riecks and the minor child had gone to the Newark area park and lake to go fishing. Riecks assaulted the victim in the park bathroom, the release noted.
