The Lady Pioneers remain undefeated after Friday night’s contest

The Lady Pioneers remain undefeated in 4A-3 conference play with a 76-46 win at Blytheville on Friday night.
Junior Izzy Higginbottm poured in 22 points and reached an impressive 1500 points for her career at the 6:45 mark in the second period with a big three-point bucket.
Sophomore Chloe Trusty added in 20 points and Junior Caylee Clark put in 14 points including going eight-for-eight from the free-throw line.
The number one in class 4-A Lady Pioneers record stands at 22-1 overall and 11-0 in the conference.
The Junior lady Pioneers had an impressive win over the Jr. Lady Chickasaws by a final of 40-26. Kalya Ward led in scoring with 17 points and Salice Speed added in nine.
The Pioneers had a tough time with the Chickasaws and fell to Blytheville in the nightcap by a final of 64-37.
Junior Gunner Shell ended the night with 12 points, all from beyond the three-point arc and senior Caleb Anderson added in 10.
Batesville falls to 14-9 overall and 3-8 in the conference.
The Junior Pioneers went toe-to-toe with the Junior Chickasaws through three and a half quarters but fell 47-36. Corey Cotherine led in scoring with 14 points.
The Pioneer roundball squads will travel to Highland this week to take on the Rebels. The girls play Monday and the boys play on Tuesday.
