Pioneers propel past the Highland Rebels Tuesday night

Batesville traveled to Highland on Tuesday for 4A-3 Conference play on Tuesday and came away with a pair of wins.
The Junior Pioneers defeated the Junior Rebels by a final of 57-36.
Caden Griffin poured in a total of 25 points and Conner Foree added in 12.
The Senior Pioneers got the victory, but it wasn’t an easy win.
Junior Post player J.P. Morgan got three fouls early in the first half and sat the bench for four and a half minutes before the intermission and eventually, he fouled out of the game.
Junior Austin Scott stepped up pulling down nine total rebounds and played a great defensive game.
Two Seniors went on the offensive and lead in each half.
Caleb Blakely knocked down four, three-pointers in the first half and ended the game with 16.
Caleb Anderson went 10/14 from the foul line in the second half and led Batesville with 19 total points.
The “twin” Caleb’s led the Pioneers to a 60-52 win over Highland and improved their overall record to 15-9 with a 4-8 conference mark.
The Pioneers host Brookland on Friday for Senior Night and will honor four players making their final performance in Pioneer Gymnasium: Caleb Anderson, Dawson McMahan, Caleb Blakely, and Andrew Croslin.
