Batesville Pioneers took to the hardwood Friday night versus the Brookland Bearcats mi

On Friday, the Junior Lady Pioneers cruised to a win over the Junior Lady Bearcats of Brookland by a final of 41-20 to push their overall record to 15-4 on the season.
Kayla Ward led in scoring with 22 points and Abby Hurley put in nine.
The Junior Pioneers fought hard through the entire game but came up short against the Jr. Bearcats by a final of 54-46.
Caden Griffin led with 15points and Corey Coutherine added 11.
The Lady Pioneers rolled past the Lady Bearcats by a final of 73-47 to remain undefeated at 13-0 in conference play.
Junior Isabella Higginbottom poured in 33 points and Sophomore Taylor Rush added in 15.
Batesville Girls are now 24-1 for the season with the win on Friday.
In the nightcap, Brookland outpaced Batesville’s boys 15-6 in the first quarter and the Pioneers could not seem to dig out of that hole through the rest of the game as each quarter was even the rest of the way.
The Pioneers fell by a final of 52-32 and now drop to 15-10 overall and 4-9 in the conference.
Batesville travels to Southside on Tuesday for the final regular-season games of the year, Senior tip-off at 6 p.m.
