Obituary: Ronald Vernon Siler

Ronald Vernon Siler, 73, of Rogers, passed away Sunday, Jan. 26, 2020 at home. 

He was born in Batesville, Arkansas on June 28, 1946.

Ronnie grew up in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas.  He graduated from Pleasant Plains High School and took Business courses from Arkansas State University, Beebe. He was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church.

He married Toy Helen Ginn in 1969.  Their daughter Lisa Renée Siler was born in 1979.  The family lived in Southside, Arkansas until 2014.

Ronnie worked as the office manager at Tripp Gas company for 25 years until the family opened their own business.  Southern Charm Framing and Engraving was established in their home in 1981 and a brick and mortar business was built in 1985.

Ronnie and Toy enjoyed visiting with their friends and customers throughout the years.  They both enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and raising small birds.  Ronnie loved working with his hands, spending time with family, and football.

Lisa married Brandon Cassidy in 2014.  Finn Rowen Cassidy was born in 2015.  Ronnie & Toy retired and moved to Rogers, Arkansas in 2014 to spend more time with family.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his father, Vernon Siler; mother, Cuba Siler of Pleasant Plains, AR; and sister, Beverly Ruth Purves (Bob) of Sturgeon Bay, WI.  He is survived by his brother, Alva Ray Siler (Lee) of Fayetteville, AR; his wife of 50 years, Toy Helen Siler; daughter, Lisa Siler Cassidy; son-in-law, Brandon Lee Cassidy; and grandson, Finn Rowen Cassidy of Rogers, AR.

Memorial Services were held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 8, 2020, at Southside United Methodist Church, 39 Magnolia Street, Batesville, AR 72501.  

Graveside following the Service at Egner Cemetery, Hwy 14 East, Salado, Arkansas 72575.
