Report by Big Daddy Randy Alan

The Batesville Lady Pioneers punch their ticket to the 4A State tournament with a win in the first round of Regional Tournament over the Wynne Lady Yellowjackets, 78-47.

Batesville scored early and often and eventually invoked the sportsmanship rule and was led by Junior Izzy Higginbottom who ended the game with 16 points and only played in two periods.

Sophomore Taylor Rush also ended the game with 16 and Junior Jalise Stewart added in 14.

With the win, the Lady Pioneers increase their overall record to 27-2 and will now play in the Semi-Final Round of the Regional Tournament in Valley View on Friday at 4 p.m.
