Obituary: Charles F. Green

Charles F. Green of Bradford departed this life on Sunday, March 15, 2020, at the age of 75. He was born June 28, 1944, in Newark, the son of Alvin L. and Ruth Lenora (Richardson) Green.

Green graduated from Newark High School when the mascot was the Newark Kangaroo. He was a United States Army veteran, serving in Vietnam. He was a surveyor and worked many years for Miller-Newell Engineers in Newport. He was a member of the Newark First Baptist Church. He was a collector of coins and baseball cards and loved watching westerns and going to Tunica.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Virgil Mack Green; one sister, Ina Paulette Rutledge; and his parents.

He is survived by one brother, James Alvin Green of Springdale; two sisters, Gwendolyn Allen of Bradford, and Barbara Ross of Little Rock; a special brother-in-law, Kendall Rutledge of Newark; several nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.

Funeral services are 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Newark First Baptist Church, with interment in Blue Springs Cemetery. Bro. Bill Goodwin will officiate the service. Friends may visit at the church, Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. until service.

The staff of Miller-Newell and Associates is honorary pallbearers.
