In an effort to keep the region safe and healthy, and in accordance with the CDC’s latest recommendations “to cancel all gatherings, including festivals and community events, with expected attendance over 50 for the next 8 weeks,” the Ozark Gateway Tourist Council’s Annual Banquet and awards, scheduled for April 23 is canceled.
“It is with a heavy heart that we have to make the decision to cancel our annual event.  The past several years our speakers have just keep getting better and better at inspiring us to brainstorm new ways to bring visitors to our area.  It’s really difficult to have to give up a time when all of our region’s tourism leaders spend time visiting and networking with one another, and our organization awards the leaders of 2019,” said Crystal Crow, President of OGT.
“Right now, the focus is on keeping our communities well, so that once the threat is gone, we can support them by attracting visitors back into the region,” Crow shared.
