Passenger in truck stopped for violation charged with numerous felony counts

A pickup truck pulled over for a traffic violation in Mountain View on May 3 resulted in a number of felony charges for the vehicle’s passenger.

Shaunda Franklin (pictured), 38, of Pine Bluff, is facing charges filed in Stone County Circuit Court after officers say she had a bag with her that contained several drug paraphernalia items along with drugs including methamphetamine, cocaine, Tramadol pills, and marijuana. Officials say she was also in possession of a .38 caliber handgun that had been reported stolen out of Baxter County.

Franklin has been charged with simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms; possession of cocaine with the intent to deliver; four counts of possession of drug paraphernalia; theft by receiving (the handgun); possession of meth; possession of Tramadol; and possession of marijuana.
