LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The number of coronavirus cases in Arkansas has increased by more than 400, and there are two additional deaths due to COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus.

The Arkansas Department of Health on Sunday reported 12,501 confirmed cases and 179 deaths, up from 12,095 cases and 177 deaths reported Saturday.

The actual number of people who have contracted a virus is likely higher because many people have not been tested, and studies suggest people can be infected and not feel sick.

The department also reported that 8,110 people have recovered from the virus.
