Dixie V. King, 78, of Tuckerman departed this life Sunday, June 14, 2020. She was born in Egypt, Arkansas to John and Maudie (Thompson) Petero on June 28, 1941, and was a member of First Baptist Church in Tuckerman. She enjoyed playing checkers with her grandchildren, shopping flea markets, cooking, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Danny King, parents, brothers; Henry Freeman, and Roy Freeman, and sister; Minnie Hickerson.
Her survivors are sons; Mark King (Kim) of Batesville, Kevin King (Shannon) of Jacksonville, Florida, daughter; Lenny Burton (Ray) of Tuckerman, brothers; Frank Petero of Walnut Ridge and John Petero, Jr. of Walnut Ridge, sister; Jewell Schmidt of Walnut Ridge, grandchildren; Jennifer Youngblood, April Young, Jason Burton, Rhonda Johnson King, Shelby King, Jack King, Justin Eddington, Will Ray and Jesse King, thirteen great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
VISITATION
Visitation will be held at Dillinger Funeral Home, Dowells Chapel Cemetery at 10:30 a.m.
