A Community Icon, Ricky Lee Cornett, age 62, passed peacefully in the arms of family at his home in Ben on Sunday, June 14, 2020.

Rick was born on May 28, 1958, in Batesville. He is the son of Earmie (Allender) Cornett and the late Earl Cornett of Ben.

Rick was loved by a multitude of life-long friends and extended family in communities near and far. He never met a stranger and always had an endless supply of hugs and kisses for everyone. He visited friends, sick and elderly always offering a neighborly helping hand. His love for four-wheelers, preferably Hondas, was evident as he was always shopping and longing for a new one. His daily ride to the York Girls Drasco Cafe, Jerry’s Place and the Country Store resulted in him becoming friends with almost everyone. Rick has left behind a legacy of love that will be remembered by every person that had the privilege of encountering his precious soul.
