Obituary: Longtime Arkansas State Trooper Carroll Seaton

Carroll Seaton, 75, of Batesville, died July 1, 2020.

He was born April 15, 1945 in Sylvania, Ark. to Otha and Vara (Smith) Seaton.

Carroll was an Arkansas State Trooper for 25 years and was a member of the Army National Guard.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda (Goforth) Seaton, two sons, Jason Seaton (Laura) and Wade Seaton of Batesville; one sister, Darlene Byrd of Doniphan, Mo.; and three grandchildren, Luke and Sophie Seaton, and Alyx Keller.

Carroll is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Eddie Seaton.

Pallbearers are Luke Seaton, Calvin Fairchild, Mike Hatfield, W.O. Husky, Gary Hilburn, and Shawn Stephens.

Graveside services will be Friday, July 3, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Campground Cemetery in Bethesda with Rev. Mark McDonald officiating under the direction of Roller-Crouch Funeral Home.

There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN. 38105.

We are complying with the Arkansas Department of Health guidelines and social distancing will be observed.
